The Society's principal publications are the Journal and the Bibliography. The Journal, published each December, is one of the UK’s leading periodicals in the field. Medieval castles of the British Isles have always been one of the particular strengths of the journal, but there are no geographical limits to its range, which continues to expand. Selected pdf articles from the Journal issues from two or more years ago are freely available for consultation on-line and download here. All subscribing members receive the journal as part of the membership package.
The 2014-15 issue, printed in full colour, is now available (December 15 2014). The cover image of Carrickfergus Castle is taken from the Annual Proceedings section, a 119 page summary of the CSG’s Annual Conference based in Belfast in 2014. Other Journal articles for 2014-15 include:
- Roesia de Verdun and the building of Castleroche, Co. Louth - Tadhg O’Keeffe
