CSG Membership - Join Us


This page provides information on how to become a member of the Castle Studies Group. Although our membership includes some of the best-known researchers and authors in the discipline, you don't have to be an expert to join. Our membership is made up of all types of castle enthusiasts, from hobbyists to serious scholars, all sharing a common interest in the architecture, archaeology and history of the medieval period. The membership fee includes a copy of the annual CSG Journal published in December/January each year, and the annual Bibliography, edited by John Kenyon, issued in the summer together with a Summer news Bulletin edited by Peter Burton. The current membership rates are:

Single member - £25 per annum

Two members/same address - £30 per annum [One mailing]

Europe / rest of World - £31 (€ 35) per annum.

UK Student - £10 per annum.  Intl Student - £18 per annum

International payments may be made using the Internet and your credit card at PayPal which is to be found at www.paypal.com - once there, click on ‘Send Money’ and then follow the on-screen instructions. You will be asked to enter an email address; you should use Membership@castlestudiesgroup.org.uk. You will need to calculate the local currency equivalent of £31 GBP and then add the fee charged to CSG for use of the facility which is set out below:


Within the UK 3.4% + £0.20 GBP

Outside the UK 3.9% + £0.20 GBP                                                                                                

These figures include the additional cross-border fee.
